Aromatherapy for Hair Loss
Aromatherapy is a wonderful way of treating yourself for hair loss, and is so straightforward that it can be done at home. The inspirational Shirley Price was originally a hair stylist whose cutting was so skilful that women came to her from all over the country to have her tackle their thinning hair. She made it look healthier and appear thicker with her brilliant cuts. Shirley had found herself being asked for help by women with thinning hair.
"They thought it was best to have long hair to hide their scalps. I had to convince them that long hair is too heavy to take a style. A set just drops out with the weight of long hair. So I persuaded them to have it cut short all over, making the hair appear much thicker and more manageable".
Shirley is no longer a hairdresser. She has discovered another way of helping women - and men. "I wanted a way to help my mother, who was then suffering from severe arthritis", says Shirley. "She was so ill. All twisted up with arthritis and in so much pain she was taking 21 tablets a day and couldn't walk at all. I had to find a way of helping her".
She found the art of aromatherapy, where a few drops of carefully chosen essential oils are mixed into a carrier base and massaged vigorously into the skin. "You must massage correctly and for at least five minutes every time", says Shirley. With her husband Len, who has also made a serious study of essential oils, Shirley now travels the world to select and test ails for their suitability. She has transformed an unprepossessing corner of Hinckley East Midlands into a magical emporium of floral and herb scents which offer to help many human ills including the joint pain of arthritis, circulatory disorders, premenstrual problems and hair loss!
